   Located near the picturesque harbour, just within the walls of Rhodes' magnificent medieaval town, the Old Town Gallery is favoured by many overseas visitors to this Greek island . They are drawn not only by the fine quality products which owner Michael Kasiotis offers , but also by the building itself . Dating from 1450 and the days of the Knights of St John, it was home for the Knight Giovanni Manelli (his coat of arms can be found near the front doors!)and has been painstakingly restored to provide a perfect background for the locally made jewellery and handicrafts which are available.

   At the Old Town Gallery the emphasis is on quality and local craftsmanship. The 14 , 18 and 22 carat gold, and the sterling silver jewellery are works of the Gallery's own gold and silversmiths as well as other top local craftsmen. The marble, bronze and ceramic pieces are museum copies, the best on the market while the exceptional wood carvings are locally made. The religious icons are handpainted, many worked in 925' silver and 22 carat gold and the fine silk carpets are the best available. The batik pareos, paintings and tablecloths are designed and made exclusively for the Gallery, as are the stone-washed denim and quality linen caps.
